I have had Raymarine Autohelm on two of my boats and never had a bit of problem with either unit. Easy to install and operate.Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply,it does help.Does it matter the size of the boat?
I own a ODay 27 do you know of a particular model that would be for this size boat?

Just type Autohelm and they have a chart by displacement and length. I think it would be the Model 1000 (tiller). Have fun

Raymarine makes two different models of there tiller pilots. Go with the ST2000+ version. I have one on my 272. - Raymarine.com is their web address.
