Has anyone installed a SIMRAD tiller auto pilot on a 26S or similar? Are you happy with it? Which model are you using? Any problems? Where did you attach the auto pilot? Thanks.

I'm pretty happy with my TP10. paid about 300, a year ago. plenty strong, and has made a huge difference in my sailing ease. in really strong stuff it has a hard time keeping up, (over 25knts I typically hand steer, or under trim off the wind. not sure on best brand but they are great.

TP-20 with remote
I bought a TP20 because it was on sale and comes with a free remote control. TP20 is over rated for a 26S but what the hack. Since we don't mind buying women mistress useless things, why should we be cheap on boat mistress. The remote control is very nice for single hand. I sit in the mid part of the cockpit to handle the sail sheets and let Simrad do the tacking. The only thing is to mount the anchor point exactly to mid travel. Off by just 1/2 inches will not tack properly as the software logic got confussed. I have no problem after 3 years.
