tightening the H2 shrouds causes upbump on rubrail

I race my 1996 H26. It has roller furling. To get the forstay tight enuf I have to crank up the turnbuckles for the upper and lower shrouds on both sides, which of course are in lieu of a backstay. This causes an upswelling at the rubrail attachment point which is a little disconcerting but seems to be okay as there is a metal plate underneath and both the deck and hull sections are also joined there. I tried to loosen the pull there but found I then got too much sway in the forestay in heavy wind so I re-tightened half of what I let off. Any thoughts?

I've noticed that

I wondered if modifying the support rod under the hulldeck seam so that it was longer would help. I backed mine down, but you can’t keep the jib from flailing.

Gauge

Have you measured the tension in your shrouds using a gauge? Is it within prescribed bounds? Maybe your forstay is too long. I've noticed that when I properly tension the rig on my '97 h26 I have too much mast rake, so my forestay probably needs to be shortened a bit, yet it measures correctly last I checked. However, I don't get any visible deflection at the hull/deck seam. Ron Mehringer h26 Hydro-Therapy
