Tightening Bow Pulpit

My 33.5 bow pulpit is slightly loose. The stanchions actually go into the deck with a nut on the threaded end of the stanchion. There is no stanchion foot or bolt head on the deck. I can see the nuts for the forward stanchions near the roller furler in the anchor locker. The aft ones appear to be behind the fiberglass "bucket" the anchor is in. Is there any way to get to these fittings to tighten the bow pulpit without cutting the fiberglass in the anchor locker?

I replaced mine

On my '88 33.5 I had the same problem. I looked at the attachment method and decided that it was a poor design, so I bought some ss bow pulpit fittings and retrofitted the pulpit. Now I know that I can depend on the pulpit to hold my weight in rough seas.

V-Berth

I believe there should be a way to get to them through an opening somewhere in the V-berth. I was able to get to mine on a Vision thru an opening (by almost standing on my head and fully extending my arm up between the anchor compartment and the hull). Not something to do on a hot day! One way is to following the wiring to the bow lights.

I cut the hole!

On my 89 335 the forward horn cleats came loose, the only wat to tighten them was to cut a hole in the wall of the chain locker.
