Does anyone happen to know the approximate hull deadrise of the O'Day 26 at mid-hull and about two feet out from center of keel? My present thru-hull transducer, installed by prior owner, has a fairing block, but it is not known if fairing block is required in replacing transducer. Two transducers recommended by Garmin for my 546S chartplortter/sounder are the Airmar B60 (bronze thru-hull) and the Airmar B45 (bronze thru-hull with fairing block). The B60 is basically a flush mount transducer but there are two models; one has a 12 degree tilt (Garmin # 010-10982-01) if hull deadrise is 8 degrees to 15 degrees, and the other (Garmin # 010-10982-00) has a 20 degree tilt if deadrise is between 16 and 24 degrees. However, Airmar recommends transducer with fairing block if hull deadrise exceeds 10 degrees. It is possible prior owner may also have been unaware of hull deadrise and simply selected unit with fairing block (my understanding is block must be cut to shape of hull deadrise angle) to eliminate issue, but I would like to eliminate fairing block if possible. Any recommendation(s) would be appreciated
