Could anyone tell me the sizes and quantity of thru-hull tapered wood plugs I need for my Hunter 31?

buy a set

Most marine retailers like West Marine or Boaters World sell a package of several plugs. You might need more than one package. Count all your thru hulls from outside the hull, then go looking for them. You should know where they are anyway. Best way is to drill the plug top and tie a line through it to each thru-hull so they don't get lost or separated from the seacock.

Or make your own

If you are a woodworker and have a lathe, you can make your own. They are simple tapered cylindricak plugs. Be sure that it is an absorbent wood such as dry pine so that it will swell in the hole if it ever has to be used. Be sure that you have a couple for the holes in the hull where the depthsounder and speed transducer are located. But I found it easier to buy them where Steve O. mentioned. Just make sure that you have enough.
