I would like to shoot through my hull for the depth finder. I really don't want to put a hole through the hull. Is the H23 hull solid? No wood core? Has anyone found a good spot for this? Thanks, John

Don't need a hole

You can epoxy the transducer to the inside of the hull. I did this and it works great! Good luck.

up under the V-berth

in the storage compartment, toward the bow. Works like a charm. The wire runs aft under the starboard benches to the display on the aft bulkhead, next to the companionway.

Depth Finder

It is easy to experiment with the best location. I used the toilet ring approach. A Ziplock bag filled with water also works. More at this link: http://kobernus.com/hunter260/depth/depth.html

can this work with an '81 hunter 33?

Does anyone know of a transducer that will work with Signet MK172? I thought my problems were with the display. Replaced it with one I found at a consignment shop. My display works for a few minutes then starts blinking the last known depth. It will do that for a few minutes (or hours) then shows new depth. Any thoughts?
