Through hull plugging

I had to remove the sink and the through hull drain on my h23 for additional
sleeping room. I would like to keep it out for now but have the option of putting it back in later. What is the best way to temporarily plug the hole in the hall for sailing until I put the sink back in at a later date?

Thanks
Derrick

I put a brass cap on mine only beacuse WM didn't have a PVC one in stock. There is no real pressure at that depth of the through hole.
I too wanted the option of keeping the through hole in place for future use. If there is a better way I would like to know too. I disconnected sliding galley for more room, also Avalon Harbor is very strict about gray water.Frank

You didn't mention it but I assume the boat is out of the water. I would recommend installing a ball valve and wiring it shut until you are ready to reinstall your sink. You should have a valve anyway. I had an Oday 23 without a valve and the hose came loose one time, that was really exciting. Ray T

That is a good idea Ray I will add that to my list of to do's.
Thanks, Frank
