Replacing shifting mechanisms and stuff below
Ksarna, IMHO you have come to the right place. First there is a wealth of knowledge here. Second when you make a post try to be specific if you can. What kind of shifter do you have? Edson, Morse for example. May have to replace starter? That doesnt tell the experts here much. Maybe more along the lines of for example... "I push the starter button and all I hear is a click." "I have this funny looking black wire connected to the engine that has rust and greenish gook all over it." Sailors here can then help you chase your problem. Bottom line... explain as best you can, figure out how to use the thread tracker here, check often for replies particularly if you see one from a guy named Fred, research the archives, and finally, there is no reason to be sheepish or admit your confused.
