I have a 88 Legend 37 and am experiencing throttle vibration movement at about 3000 RPMs which vibrates the throttle down to the low 2000 RPM range. I have an Edson Pedestal and called Edson for a solution. Their solution was to put a wire clamp on the throttle cable close to the engine so that there would be pressure on the cable which would eliminate the throttle movement.I took their advise and have eliminated the throttle movement but now find that the pressure on the cable shortens the cable very slightly and results in the raising of the idle speed to 1200 RPM. There is an adjustment at the end of the throttle cable which I moved out as far as I could without it falling off the cable. There is also a clevis at the pedestal which is out as far as I could. (I just replaced both throttle and shift cables) But I am still at about 1200 RPM idle.Any thoughts?? Is there another way to eliminate the throttle wondering without the clamp?
