Throttle Friction

The throttle lever on my C-27 has recently begun to slide backwards, causing a loss of 100-200 rpm. I need to increase the throttle lever friction, but I'm not sure were to do it. The boat is an 84 C-27, the engine a Universal M-18 (14hp), and the throttle lever is mounted on an Edson steering pedestal. Is the friction adjusted at the pedestal or at the engine? Randy

Throttle friction adjustment

According to Edson the friction adjustment for the throttle cable is a screwjust inside the pedestal housing above the lever mount. You have to remove the compass to access it. It's right there on top of the lever. Don't overtigthten it though. Good luck w/ your 30
