Hello All:
I recently purchased a 1975 o'day sailboat. It's a great boat with a new 3 cyn diesel. I think the throttle/transmission controls are original, I don't know the name brand. They are stacked, with the throttle being inboard and smaller with a red ball on top. The logo says MA_AC with a hole in the middle so I can't read the whole thing. Trouble is, the bronze rod that links to the throttle cable broke. Does anyone know where I might find a replacement? I hate to replace both units, they work great and are in keeping with the age of the boat.

Thanks

Matt

Matt,

Critical to question is make of motor. Some brands are still supported while others the support is in vague words on motors that old.

If you have major marina with diesel technicians I recommend biting the bullet and paying for expert mechanic.

Just my two cents worth.
