I just installed new control cables on my 2000 340. Over the years (actually since new in 2000) the throttle has become almost impossible to move.
What I would like to know is where is the best place along the cable to put the Cable Brake?
The operation of the the throttle is very smooth now but it still has the tendency to release itself from the full throttle position (2700 - 3000 RPM).
Thanks for any help.

My thanks to Steve Dion and his post http://shop.hunterowners.com/hp/part.php?m=340&c=12&p=54203
The photos helped Steve.
I'll be placing my photos on my page at HOW for others also.

Best place to locate the little clamp on throttle is as near to the handle as possible. I have mine on the cable where it goes into the tube at the bottom of the pedestal.
