84 Hunter 31 Throttle Cable Change. We Have Taken Everything Apart And The Only Thing Holding Us Up Is The Clamp In The Pedestal. I Can't Get It Loose Enough To Get The Cable To Slide Past The Steel End. It Is Larger In Diameter Than The Rest Of The Cable And Will Not Pass. The Screw Is As Loose As I Can Get It And Now Seems To Be Bound. Any One Have Any Suggestions Please?

OK this sounds like a smart ash response, but it isn't.. Pull the little end from the engine side out the top.

Not a bad thought but the steel ends are a larger diameter than the cable and there in lies the problem..I will check again to make sure..thanks

Beachcombers, I need to apologize for bad info!.. I was thinking the kill cable small end .. Looking at mine yesterday, I see that both ends of the throttle cable are about the same .. Hope ya got the thing out despite my bad info.. Sorry.. Did ya wiggle it out from the pedistal clip sideways?
