Peggy,
First, thank you for the time, energy and patients you dedicate to this forum.
The first major project I took on after I became a sailboat owner this spring was sanitation hoses. The original hoses were still attached, wrapped in saran wrap, ykes! I've installed the Trident sanatation hose and used your various suggestions to bend and attach the hose. The job was tough due to the bends I had to make, but would have been tougher if I had not reviewed these forums first. That smell is gone!
I recently noticed your discussion suggesting the use of PureAyre for other odors. PureAyre I've found, offers several product versions including a Marine version. Is there a difference you know of in the actual content of the bottle between for example the pet and marine version of PureAyre?
I have some residual odors on my 83- Hunter 31 that I want to reduce or elminate . So far I've drilled holes in the bilge to release water trapped between the bilge and liner as many have suggested, that helped. Initally an odorus water with black particles released. When I recently drained my water tanks more black stuff came through with a little odor. I suppose I need to let something slosh around in the bilge/liner for a while??? What is my best choice?
I'll be trying the PureAyre on my seat covers and the foam cusions.
Thanks
