advice on a 1998 Mac26X. Having never tried to take it apart, I wanted to clean and replace the mast light before raising the mast this season, hopefully leaving it up until this fall. While on the ladder to look at it, I couldn't see how it dis-assembled. Maybe you just replace the whole unit. Any help would be appreciated.

What make is it?

Mel, I don't know the manufacturer but usually there are screws visible or you pop out the bezel to replace the lamp. If you can't figure it out give us the make (if you can find it on the outside, or a photo) and we'll try to help. You could call MacGregor and I'm sure they can help if it's stock equipment. Steve, thanks

I didn't see a name or number, guess I just assumed the same light was put on all '98 26X's, and someone out there had changed/repaired/dis-assembled and knew how they came apart....the little black cap on top clicked off, but under it was just solid plactic/glass...with no screws/nuts/clips,etc.

You're welcome

Mel, Are you sure the plastic or glass bezel isn't just stuck? Usually there is a gasket that over time tends to stick things together. Don't want you to break anything but have you tried a little pry around the edges? Steve P.
