I'm off Thursday morning (10 September) to resample all the places Mike and I did in May so the UNH researchers can compare the results from a drier and warmer time of year. A friend is going to help me move the boat non-stop downeast as far as we can get by Sunday or Monday. I'll then start the science work solo. (See: http://www.pointseast.com if you don't know what I'm talking about.)
This will be my third round trip of the season from Portland to Canada so I probably can't complain that I'm not getting enough sailing in. I can't say "cruising" this time because I'm going to be pushing to get it done as quickly as possible so I can get back to start work on some other things.
Three days of forecast NE winds will probably make for a slow start.

Anyone want to start a pool on my return date
