Third Battery for C#*)

I am interested in adding a third battery for starting to my new C380. I would appreciate any insight or assistance into the proper configuration. Can I simply parallel by two house batteries and add a third group 27 as the second bank. Pros and cons?

Check out the Catalina listserve run by Sailnet. There have been lots of posts about batteries and multiple banks. Seems to depend on personal preference and which year and model you have as to where the second bank goes.
