Thinking about mid-boom sheeting conversion

I spoke with Rig Rite and they tell me that my boom dimensions are "marginal" for converting to mid-boom sheeting. I'd love to get the traveller out of the cockpit and on to the coachroof. Has anyone made this conversion and had any problems with the boom bending or breaking?

Tell me why.

I am sorry, but I see absolutely NO valid sailing reason to 'go to' mid-boom sheeting, when the safer and more efficient thing is to get away from it if you have been so cursed.
