The idea of putting a high end Porti Potti in wher I can still ustilize the pump out at my marina is appealing. I will then just use fresh tap water and not have the sea water smell when left in my lines. The electric flush sounds good to me a pumping seems to wake everybody up at night. I have two concerns the first is the security of the waste tank while heeling. I want to be sure what was once down stays down; not out into my cabin. I am looking at the Thetford 885 and plan to plumb it to my on deck waste discharge. Please give me some feedback if anybody out there uses one. The second concern is the solids. Is that little swirling water action effective enough to send them to the waste tank? Please share your experiences and thoughts. I currently have a standard head system and may pull it out in favor of this one.
