I had some trouble with a Furuno GP30 that I bought a few months back. When I talked to Furuno, they asked me to bring it in. I did, they checked it out and replaced it with a new updated GP31 the same day. I highly recommend using or looking at Furuno equipment. They seem like a good company to deal with. Bob
