It's always good to finish a race and look back and see the rest of the fleet....way........back there:D Even owing one boat a HUGE handicap we still took the coveted 1st place finish.... Knocking on wood our streak continues!!!:)

No, it's a friends boat, an Ericson 34. I only race OPB's....;) The 260 feet of chain, 100 gallons of water, 35 gallons of fuel a three blade prop and all the gear we have on-board would take me a week to clean off the boat before each race. Plus our boat rates fairly low and I would need to remove the gear to be competitive.

We have a good time racing...

These guys were not racing;)

We have really got her dialed in now. We have been making great tacks and tactical decisions. Last night it was really blowing and our competition went out under full sail and battled their rudders all night. We reefed and flew, outpacing them more than usual. 3 1sts in a row and we are 2nd overall with our sights on 1st.

That second photo looks like the view from my previous boat Cordelia when we were battling with Moondance during the race that ended at DiMillos. That was our first win against them and they never beat us again as we went on to take the series that year.

Congrats to your boat. Left them in the dust....

See you are racing out on Casco Bay.. Used to love sailing there out of Freeport. Maybe one of these days I'll get back there...

I know the feeling. In light wind GOOD TRADE with her red, yellow, and white drifter, crossed the line to finish first in race 2, at the 2010 NCR Leukemia Cup Regatta, non-spinnaker, class I.

Jim,
If you do, look us up! We've got two 356s at Maine Yacht Center now.
