That is why I rigged Papillon with a good working single line reefing system. I can pull in a reef in less than 60-seoncds from full trim to full trim. It only takes a bit longer to shake it out. Everything done from the cockpit.
If you think it's time to reef, you're too late.
My boat isn't rigged that way! That's why I want the first reef in before I see the whitecaps starting to build.
