The "right" trailer for my C-25?

I think I found the right trailer for my C25 Swing Keel that I'm purchasing next month. Here's my question: The trailer currently has a Bayliner Buccaneer 25' sitting on it and she is in great shape...it has roller bunks with enough clearance for the Bayliner's short keel. Would this trailer be a no-brainer swap if I loaded the C-25 right on it from the boat yard? Or, would it require a bunch of adjustments to bunk height, etc??? I'm just assuming that if the Bayliner fit with it's keel, the C-25 would be OK.

The bunks have rollers like I said and I'm guessing they are hinged so that they can accomodate variations in hull shape?

Thanks in advance! I can't wait to get the family out on the 25 this year now that we just sold our C-22 yesterday!

I think you're at least going to have to plan to adjust for height.

I'm a former C25 swing keel owner. Look up the Catalina 25 National Sailing Association web site and click on the forum. I'm certain the question has been discussed there, but it may be in the archives. Readers there can help direct you to your answer.

I'm sure you will need to check the height, also the rated weight limit of the trailer and tounge weight (if it has surge brakes). Make sure tires and bearings are in very good condition as the boat, with mast, gear and trailer can weigh up to 6000 lbs. I just converted a 48 Karavan trailer with rollers (rated @ 4800#'s) that had a Clipper 26 on it, because the C25 needed higher rollers to accept the keel. I added two crossbars for strength and to rest the keel on. You need to let the keel down a couple inches to relieve preasure on the hull while trailering and you also need a big truck. I towed mine home last fall (after purchasing in spring) about 500 miles with a Dodge 1/2 ton Hemi supercab w/longbed and trailer package and was surprised that it was barely enough. For the shorter trips to the marina's, it should be fine, but I will probable up the tounge to 8000#'s and add another leaf to the springs on the trailer. All told, I paid $800 for the trailer and put $1200 into steel and welding, $800 for properly rated wheels and tires and I put the bearings in myself for $200. Thankfully the barke system was in good shape, otherwise I could've bought a new one for less.

In addition to all the suggestions offered, loosen and lube up all the roller height adjustments and brackets and then tighten prior to getting your new boat upon it. When you set your new boat down on it, preferably by sling hoist, you should have all the tools to re-adjust your roller height on the spot. You are unlikely to to know just how to adjust to your hull without actually trying it.
Been there myself.
