The prop question? Perhaps again?

I have a 5 hp outboard, that has a 2 blade prop! Would the efficiency increase if a 3 blade was put on instead?

the short answer is Yes

the more detailed answer is depending on what you are calling efficiency. It will be more efficent but not very noticable however you will see more performance (i.e. thurst increase and better handling because of more water moving past the rudder)The critical thing here is to get the correct size prop so that you are not overproped and overloading the engine.
