having never sailed, but ithinkican, I have entered the " almost ready to sail, needs new owner" dimension.
Driving some distance to see my prospective "New" to me trailer launchable sailboat, I find my expectations challenged. Maybe if I borrowed the owners rose colored glasses, and brought a chainsaw to get through the jungle grown up around the boat, ( Yeah, sailed er last season), arrived with 4 tires, a welder ( I never noticed the belly of the trailer was dragging on the ground)
and a road building crew. ( yeah, I got er out here no problem, but the field is a little soft this year), and a drill to get the standing water out of the hull (green) I doubt the sails usable ( left on the mast so they wouldn't crease, or dry out) for maybe 10 years? Then the yellow jackets launched the attack, and every man for himself.
I am not discouraged , and am going to look at a "Perfect" Hereschoff (?) designed 21' offshore bluewater ketch, owner added second mast.
Wish me BonVoyage!
