Hi Peggie. The toilet on my 1975 Oday 25 needs rebuilding i think, it wont pump water into the jug. When i fill the bowl with water by bucket, it will flush great. The only information i can find on the thing is, ( Wilcox Crittenden Div North & Judd manufacturing Co. Middletown Conn. Head Mate ) Can you give me an address to find some rebuild parts? Thank you.

Your toilet is a W-C Headmate, but...

W-C hasn't been a division of North and Judd for more than 10 years. They spun it off in the mid-late '90s...Thetford-Norcold bought W-C about 6 years ago. Which leads me to believe your toilet may be original to your boat...in which case, it isn't worth rebuilding. That'll prob'ly get it to start bringing in flush water again, but while you may think it's flushing great, it's gotta be pumping at less than half original efficiency and anything more than urine and a few sheets of TP is likely to clog it. The Headmate is an entry level compact toilet that has an average lifespan of only about 10 years before the inside of the pump cylinder becomes so worn, scratched and scored that rebuilding won't do much for it any more. So even if it's not original, that it's marked "W-C a division of North and Judd" says it's already that old. Another Headmate wouldn't be the worst choice for a replacement--far better than a Jabsco, anyway...and it would be pretty much a "plug and play" swap out. And for no more than about twice the price of a rebuild kit (unless you buy it from West Marine). So do yourself AND your family or guests a favor: don't put ANY money into it...replace it! However, if you're still determined to rebuild it, all you have to do to find the kit and shop for the lowest price is google "wilcox-Crittenden Head mate" (with a space between "head" and "mate"). You'll find a bunch of sites that have both the kits and the toilet.
