The "Low aspect ratio" jib looks incongruent with the high aspect ratio main. I'm sure Ferrari spent as much effort on the sail plan as they did on the color scheme. But I wonder. It was noted that there will be different jibs for different weather conditions. At over 20 kts of boat speed you basically make your own windspeed. In contrast the foiling AC boats have high aspect ratio jibs. More lift - less drag.
And I didn't notice the width of the aft section of the Ferrari. The IMOCA boats of the Vendee Globe boats tend to have wide aft sections for planing while not foiling? Did Ferrari abandon this design feature?
Moreover, I wonder why Ferrari didn't start with the IMOCA 60 design which are proven long distance speedsters and improve on that?
