Interesting article in the Toronto Star today about a shipwreck 60 years before the EdmundFitzgerald, when around a dozen boats were sunk and approx. 250 sailors lost their lives.
The wreckage of The Wexford washed ashore in Goderich and supposidly the stack washed up on the beach just south of Goderich right where we've spent many summers on vacation.
The ship itself was found in 2000 by a fisherman with a depthfinder and is now a heritage site. A Website about The Wexford wreckage.
Kudos to Sweetwater Cruising for the info. A great website about cruising the Great Lakes.
