The first thing you'll do when you can sail again?

Down here it really depends on how open the borders are. I don't want to leave Grenada for a country that will impose another quarantine on us and even if they (SVG for instance) don't, I don't want to have to go through it here again, either.
However, it is still my opinion that the only reason one should leave home is for essential reasons, and I don't see sailing or any other pleasurable pastime fitting that criteria.
Germany is already showing an increase in new cases since the easing of the lockdown there and it seems foolish to do the same here. The US should wait and see how the easing works out elsewhere before doing it here. But of course, our politicians are so worried about re-election that they will put hundreds of thousands at risk just to seem to look good.

Merit 22- Oregon lakes
We just returned last night from 3 days on our Mac 25. One local lake was just re-opened 4 days ago. Never before have we enjoyed sailing with only 4 kt of wind so much. got more spinnaker time in the last three days than I have over the past three years. enjoyed every minute of it :biggrin:

So I went down to the boat last Saturday to have a nice day sail and move her back to her slip. I started unzipping the sailpack and as I neared the midpoint, I noticed the pack was well displaced to the starboard side of the boom. I grabbed the pack and tried to center it. Out squirts a mallard hen onto my solar panel - very steely look! We finished unzipping and discovered 6-8 eggs. Crap! The momma duck jumped into the water at that point. By the time I got back from seeing if anyone was in at the marina office, Momma had resumed watch from the solar panel and watched us zip the sailpack up. By the time I returned from stowing the reefing line at the mast, Momma was back on her nest. She didn't budge when I ran the engine for 15 minutes. As of today, the marina reports Momma is still there. Hopefully, the ducklings will hatch by next weekend and I can take ownership of the boat again. Don't mess with Momma Nature!:beer:

Catalina 270 255 Wabamun. Welcome to the marina
After the new lift pump gets here and installed there will be sailing. Not about to try sailing into the new slip, gelcoat must be shiny, not dinted.
