I own a 1988 Legend 37. I was looking at the pictures of the Hunter 37 and it look just like my Legend 37. Are there differences? If so, what are they. By measuring my boat it comes to 37'6" is there a difference between it and the Hunter 37'6".

As a new H37C owner I am no expert. But I did have occasion to be on a Legend 37 recently so can comment on that difference. The Cutters were made from 1979 to 1986, before it was the trend to "kick up" the cockpit. So there is only a small quarterberth on the port side. Compare this to the large aft cabin on a Legend. The rest of the boat aft of the companion way is the diesel tank(under the quarterberth), the Yanmar, batteries, and the hot water tank. All are nearly inaccessible. The Legend 37 was built from 1986 to 1990, then came the 37.5. I think the main differences were displacement, a little headroom, and the ports in the hull. Right Phil, it is the ampersand. I was trying to write that 1996 was the first of the B and R rigs. And I don't remember what else I wrote. Hell to get old.
I think that first design removed the backstay but the arch came later.
