The correct mast length for 1996 Hunter 26

I am restoring a 1996 Hunter 26. I bought it with a 28' mast but I'm not sure it is the correct mast. I will need sails, a boom, and a furler assembly if anyone has them for sale.

You need to see if any decals are affixed to the current mast. Otherwise take a photo of the mast and post it here.

the year of your boat would indicate a Z Spar mast but parts can be obtained here on the SBo store to include mast, boom, sails, rigging, etc as the store has the build list of parts for your boat.

May I suggest going to boat information here on this site and look under. Hunter resources for the hunter 26, not the 260 and make sure it is the 26 as the owners manual has listed the 19 and the 23.5 as welll.
Photos would help. Be descriptive as you can

Thank you, I just sold a MacGregor 26x and there is so much info about that boat. I do like a lot of things about the Hunter over the Macgregor. On the negative side I noticed a new mast bare extrusion for the 26x is now $695 and for the Hunter 26 it is around $3500 and every other accessory seems to be much pricier. A new boom for a Hunter 26 is not available so I wonder if I could integrate some of the Mac parts like the boom bare extrusion on to my Hunter. The Mac boom is 10.5' and hunter is 11'.

Call Dave or Mike at US Spars located near Gainesville, Florida as Z Spar is synonymous with U S Spar about the boom. Where did you get the mast price from and did it include freight and new set of standing/wire rigging?

I will call him about the boom. The Mac 26x mast is from Blue Water Yachts which carries the Macgregor parts for all models. That price does not include shipping or standing rigging. I know shipping can sometimes be as much as the mast itself. Thank you again for responding and helping.
