The ajustable pitch prop.

Hey gang,
My name is Matthew Elder. Last summer I bought a 27 ft. Vega
sailboat, #3071, from a shipyard in Anacortes Wa. I have been
restoring her for the past year. Mostly interior work. But now I
have finally gotten to the next project. The ajustable pitch prop.
What's the deal with this thing? I know how it works. I was on
Lopez Island last August to check out the Albin Vega convention over
in the village. But I never caught who built this little gadget
called the prop. If anybody has any information, diagrams, all that
doo dad stuff, I truely would apreciate some help on this thing. See
the deal is this. She's all frozen up. I don't know if it's the
shaft that's seized or if it's the prop. But the little tranny deal,
which varies the pitch definately does not want to move. So I'm
gonna start off with removing the prop from the shaft. See if that
works out. But hey send me some information, I'm lost at this
point. Nobody in Anacortes has ever seen a gadget like this
before.

Sincerely, Matthew Elder.

Hi.:)

I'm sending you an exploded view of the prop. Hope it gives you some idea
how that 'gadget' look like.
