And I had them both in the last 30 days!
I bought my first boat 4 years ago. In my search, I found a really nice O'Day 322. It sold before I made an offer, and I ended up buying a newer Hunter 280. The 280 turned out to be a great first boat...low maintenance, easy to handle, etc. I learned to solo it and have really enjoyed her. But I stayed in contact with the guy who bought "my" O'Day 322, and out of the blue he emailed and said he moved and wanted to sell her. I made an offer, and ended up with 2 boats (which did not make the Admiral happy).
But fortunately, I found a buyer for the Hunter, and sold her the same month I bought the O'Day (and before I had to shell out $ for 2 storage fees!).
So, while I had a "fleet" for a little while, I was very fortunate to upgrade to a great sailing O'Day, and to sell my first boat the same month....2 very good days indeed!
Tonight, I sailed against a friends Hunter 33 (a really nice boat) and held him off for a long time...the O'Day performs well, and I can't be happier (well, until I am ready for. Beneteau 373!).
