That Darn Water Pump

I noted in one of your previous articles that the water pump should not be run at the dock. I have a 95 Hunter 430 and can't find a shut off for the pump motor. The instant the compressor comes on so does the pump. Is there a way to turn it off in in the control box, or should I install a seperate switch for the pump?? Thanks for your help..

Water Pump

If the system is an Adler/Barbour, it will operate on air cooled only mode by shutting off the water pump switch. If the switch was not installed, you can add one to the 12 vdc positve lead going to the pump. Shut the pump off at dockside or when the ambient temperature at the compressor is below 100 degrees
