I was able to fix a idle/low speed problem with my 2006 6hp Tohatsu. It was a blockage in the "slow jet". One of the responders on the archived thread wrote to poke thru all of the tiny orifices with a wire and that jet is very small! Too small to run my smallest Dremel drill bit through.
I don't know what the material was but it looks off- whitish so I'm guessing corrosion from ethenol.

I've started buying eth-free gas at a local station for my boat and usually only 2 gallons at a time so it doesn't sit long.
Think it still needs an additive?
