Hi,
Just want to thank everyone for replying to my request for info on
determining a fair price for an Albin Vega in Canadian $.
This is the sailboat I really would like to have but right now it
seems a little out of my $ league - but.....I'll keep looking and
hoping.

Hi John, I've been following along on this thread and checked out the
Vega at Thunderbird Marine located in Sydney on Vancouver Island. Is
this the boat you are looking at? If so, I just noticed that they
have recuded the price to $19700 Canadian. That's a pretty good
price when you do the conversion to US funds. According to my
calculation it comes out around $12920 US. It looks like a nice boat
and I can see why you like it. If this is still to much for your
budget, I am going to sell my Catalina 27 to help raise the money for
an Albin Vega. I can make you a good deal on it as I got it pretty
cheap a couple of years ago. It's a 1972 outboard model with a
dinette layout. It's in good shape and ready to sail but could use a
new mainsail. If you're interested let me know because I'll probably
sell for $6000. I like the looks of the Vega's and am looking for
something I can trailer a little easier. I wish you luck. Dave
