I would like to thank the members of this forum helping with successful maiden voyage of the S/V Idle Ours on April 16, 2006. We purchased a 1995 Hunter 23.5 in November and have been working diligently to ever since to get her ready. She is moored in a shallow slip so a fully operational centerboard and rudder are important. With information I found in this forum I rebuilt the centerboard completely including new bracket, pins, and uphaul, repaired the worn out tiller bolt, installed a 2 part rudder uphaul and new clamclaet, installed motor to tiller connector, installed additional mooring cleats, installed a charging system on the Tohatsu 9.9 (upgraded to 15), and plus numerous other small tasks. We are shifting from power back to sail and looking forward to many quiet hours on the water. Future plans including relocating the batteries forward, more cleats (50 mph gust storm last night), and a better centerboard uphaul cleat arrangement. Thanks again.Rich and DaleS/V Idle Hours
