Thanks for all the input on 1990 30ft. Sounds like the typical production boat, nothing major but a few things to look for. I looked at a '94 T model last week end that the broker said had repairs to the strut which someone else had posted too. How about replacement parts for older models? Some of the hatches needed parts. Also, I'm going from a masthead rig, moderate main/big genny to the fractional rig. That big main has me a bit concerned I will have to fiddle with it all the time, I live in mid-central Fl and we get avg 10-15 but it does blow harder. When do you put the first reef in? I read a few post that say to sail the boat flat. Thanks, Joe

I have an 88 H30 and keep mine in Satellite Beach.I just replaced my sails which greatly helped as they were the originals and added a Harken roller furling as well as a mack pack system. I too replaced my strut as well due to electrolysis. The original problem I had was the shaft was bent and it was thumping.(surveyor said it was just out of alignment and less than $100) Being me I replaced everything from the tranny coupling back and added a PSS dripless as well so now I know exactly what I have. About a month ago I replaced all the portlight lens. We have a 16K AC unit which given our location I consider a MUST. Also have full bimini dodger which is fantastic. Send me your email and I will send you my phone number if you want to talk more about the H30 before you buy. Where are you planning on keeping her? Bob Always Something Orlando
