of those hard water seasons. A special thanks to Dick Dixon for the pleasant rememberances of what can be. Great info, fun debate, intresting topics! It was fun with the debate and opinons including some seriously founded fact!. You guys are great! Opinions and responce desired! I have to say that people like Ross pumped alot of info this season. I am glad he was careful in his responce. It would not kill anyone!:)All you guys have had impact on others! I hope you consider what your input was and what it will be in the future. Lets keep sailors safe. This is a great site and the people here have much knowledge. I hope you guys/gals keep this site to the quality that it is and has been in the coming sailing season. Phil, Thanks for making it possible! Thanks! r.w.

Dixon's Video

R.W- I will say CDEXPRESS' video came at the perfect moment in this miserable winter. He has put a bug into my head about collecting memories on video. I did go down to the boat to pull off the brightwork for refinishing. I layed down and closed my eyes and listened to the yards music of slapping halyards in March's breeze. I enjoy working/putzing on my boat almost equally to being out on the water. So I have some fun times ahead Dont get me wrong, I sailed last year 850 n.m in a five month span and won't waste a good breeze at the slip. Rob Hessenius

Rob, I backed the boat down the driveway

Last Saturday. I slept on her last Saturday night. Even on the trailer she has a wonderful sway! Actually , I climb aboard about 7:00pm and start to work. About 11:00 pm the wife doesn't care to have me wake her so I fire the heater and roll out the sleeping bag and off to dream land on the boat. It is the best when the wind is kicking so that that trailer has some sway to it! Seriously, I try to pack so much repair into so few hours that yes I do sleep on the boat in the driveway. I do what I can until I fall asleep. By that time the wife has been in dream land for hours. It is better to stay on the boat at that point. The wife knows me and sometimes climbs the ladder. Again, it is always better when the boat is on the water! April 15th! Phil, you will be happy to know that April 15th is not Tax Day this year. But it is alwas launch day here. Know this that I will launch the 15th and I will sleep like a babe on my mooring, I don't care how cold it is! r.w.

Moved her today

Did some engine work yesterday and got her started today. Had to move out of the winter slip into the summer slip before April 1! Decided to go out and motor for a while (poles are still bare) you know since I had to move her and all!!! Just stood there at the wheel with a dumb grin on my face!! ;D r.w., I agree. This site is fantastic and has been extrememly helpful since we bought our boat. Thanks to everyone! Happy commissioning!! Jack Manning s/v Victim of Fate Atlantic City, NJ
