I want to thank everyone for their patience and advice about our new to us 23.5 , especially Crazy Dave Condon . Raising the mast with the factory system was a real breeze.Hard to think I did it any other way for so many years . Boat sails very nice without the new furling jib we are waiting on . She is in the water at her dock where she will be until the season ends . I did have one question about the water ballast or two . I can see water in the tank looking thru the air vent but it does not appear to be as high as I thought it would be . I guess thats a question , also how much bleach do you add to the tank to keep it from smelling . Thanks Again , Mike

The ballast water level should be precisely to the waterline. BrianW

NOpe, it is about 1-2 inches from the top on the 23.5. A couple of cups of bleach is fine for the ballast tank on the 23.5
