I found this asymmetrical spinnaker on Ebay.I guess I felt the need to complicate things on my little boat...
The sail was built for a SanJuan21 but from the looks of it,never used. The fit seems very nice,[what a relief].The luff was plus 3" of my boats "I" measurement.Still need to install necessary blocks and rigging but at least I found everything on Ebay and the UPS man comes daily.
I will post pictures of rigging as I progress.I have a good Idea of necessary hardware and location points but any Thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated.
I am also adding a roller furler for the jib but the stemhead fitting is too small. After a lot of head scratching to figure how to mount the drum,I thought I would remove the stemhead fitting and have it modified by a marine fabricator friend.Well once I removed the darned thing[not an easy task],I realized I could simply ad a deck eye aft of the stemhead fitting.Brilliant!Well after a lot of work for nothing the stemhead is back in place and the deck eye is mounted w/backing plate.
