We added 2 "D" rings using strips of Sunbrella, which we use to "tent" the hatch cover using a bungee over the boom, to better repel rain.

Yu can buy a companionway cover from the forum store and knowing who builds them, they have the pattern as I was there when the first was made for the 26 and 260. You will not need to hold them up with string as a simple solution is to place the throwable cushion underneath to deflect water. Might be cheaper. One thing. If using snaps, make sure the supplier does not add them but you will add them if you have a camper top which to duplicate the snaps to the camper top.
As a dealer, I found that lazy jacks got in the way particularly when trailering adding more time to tying off. If you know the proper method of flaking the mainsail onto the boom and securing in two or three places, lazy jacks are not necessary.

This is not my boat, I just posted the pictures for Jim, his wife sewed the stackpac up from Sailrite. Looks good and works well. He can easily drop it down and get it out of the way when he races.
You do really need the lazy jacks for a stackpac, this is a 270 with a lead keel and is not trailered.
Jim has a big square topped full battened laminate mainsail on this boat.

Stack packs are usually a sail cover/ lazy jack combination .
Dave I agree that lazy jacks can get in the way but the main on the 260 with the full batten 2/3 rds up makes flaking problematic at best in my experience.
I have changed the reef to a 2 slab system to ease in singlehanded sailing and am looking at a lazy jack system to help ease dousing the main.
