Tent for Cockpit

Has anyone ever made, or even seen a tent for the cockpit on a Catalina 22. My one son likes to sleep in the cockpit and I think screening it in with a cover on top, would be nice. This would help address the problem we have of not being able to sleep enough guests. Aldo

have never seen a boom tent yet but i use the fly cover that came with a 2 man camping tent that we bought for our kids 20 years ago. it works like a charm

If this helps... I seam to remember on some site, I think it was catalina22.org a sun shade that goes over the boom. It used some PVC pipe and a painters drop cloth. I think that you could easely add sides and a door to it, If your handy with a sewing needle! There were several other projects on the page too! Hope that this info helps.
