On my Oday 19 I had to repair the shroud anchor so I need to know how much tension can be put on the rigging when it is fastened. Is it just a common sense call or is there a specific amount of pull put on the cables?
Ells -A common rule of thumb is that the shroud should deflect an inch or so with a twenty pound push at shoulder level. Racers get a lot more caught up in exactness, but that ought to be a good start. Another thing to look for is just tight enough to allow the leward shroud to be loose but not slack when close hauled.Justin - O'day OWners' Web
