Tension on intermediate shrouds

hi folks, I think I need to adjust my intermediate shrouds. They're set to where ever the previous owner had set them, so they've not been touched in years.

I've tensioned the uppers and lowers appropriately I think, but the starboard intermediate shroud moves pretty easily in the wind. My guess is that it is way too loose, but I've not been able to find anything that talks about how to appropriately tension those intermediate shrouds.

Can anyone lend his/her expertise? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Also check out the forum under General Downloads for “Tuning the Mast Head Rig”. Even though it states B&R rig it covers intermediate shrouds.

Quite simply, is your mast straight and not wobbling about when sailing close hauled in a stiff breeze or higher? That's why the rig is there and the tension should be to keep the mast straight and secure, not to some specification.
