Just an FYI that Tempo has gone out of business. Better order whatever replacement parts you need from your local marine store before Tempo stock is sold out. Tempo makes that Low Profile 12 Gal. gas tank that fits neatly in the cockpit lockers of the M boat (the LPT12). Nothing to fear on there being no more 12 gal tank fits as Moeller now makes a low profile 12 gal tank that I believe will fit in the M locker and it is a better tank. It appears to have thicker polypropylene construction and a fuel pick up tube assembly with 1/4" NPT nozzel that rotates 360 deg. So it can be adjusted without additonal elbow fittings etc. for better gas line lay to keep them from running under foot. The cap on the Moeller tank is not low profile but appears to be recessed enough to fit under the cockpit seat in a side by side comparison of the two tanks. Perhaps the low profile caps from Tempo would fit on the Moeller too further reducing the height but haven't tried to screw one on yet. West Marine carries the Moeller and has some Tempo's still in stock but there are cheaper places to purchase them. If anyone has verified the Moeller tank fit as described above let me know.
