Temperature Issue

The temperature gauge on my M25 Universal stopped working. Needle does not move. I'm thinking it's the sending unit. My thermostat housing has two senders (see picture). I'm guessing the one that sends a signal to the temperature gauge is the smaller one on the right. Does the larger on the left operate the buzzer? Any help would be appreciated.

Could be the sender or the gauge itself. It's easy to check, just ground the sender wire to the engine, the gauge should peg to the high side, or buzzer will sound of you're on the wrong sender. I've used my all metal navigation dividers to do this, the points will scratch through the paint or corrosion to get good contact. If the needle doesn't move, then it's the gauge. I think the large sender is the buzzer, but I'm not sure. Mine doesn't have a buzzer and my sender looks like the smaller one in your picture.

Thanks I wish I had had that information when I was at the boat.
