Teleflex i5600 multifunction display

My 2009 Hunter 49 is equipped with a Teleflex i5600 multi which I use as an engine function gage which is tucked down low at the port wheel. Most of the other functions that it performs are duplicated by other instruments that are better located and are easier to use because they have fewer functions and are always displayed. The i5600 is needed for engine hours, rpm, oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temp. Like so many older electronic devices, it is not very intuitive. In trying to find my engine hours recently (the previous owner didn't have it set for that function), I lost everything. Last time I spent several hours working on it, I restored everything except fuel level...at least I hope they are all still there. Can anyone help me set up the fuel level screen? I know there is a sender connected because it worked til I played with it. I am going to read the manual yet again, but after two thorough readings, I am beginning to think that I am suffering from early onset dementia...it's not very clear. Thanks.

We sent the diesel fuel level information to the chart plotter. It is way easier to use than the teleflex. The Teleflex gauge is impossible. I can get information on it by chance sometimes, but I can never duplicate the results later. Totally unintuitive. Art Boas has a write up on the transfer to your chart plotter. We also recently sent the fuel information to our new Victron screen. That makes it even easier. Just pick up the mattress in the port aft cabin and look for the red and yellow wires coming off of the tank sender. They are easy to find. It’s a straightforward wiring run to the chart table area. You can probably use your Wema gauge if you don't have another screen that supports tank senders. The Wema gauge has two empty circuits, 3 and 7, that can be set for diesel. Try this, I think it's correct, but I’m going from memory and I'm not on the boat right now to confirm. Press one of the buttons for about ten seconds. The light will blink. Then press the button again to toggle through water, waste, and diesel. Stop when you come to diesel and press the button for another ten seconds. This should set up the button for you. I couldn't find this programming information online. I had to figure it out by trial and error. You'll need to tap into the free wires on the back of the Wema unit. There are two black and one yellow that are free. Check out the Art Boas post first, though, it’s the easiest connection. Hunter 49 showing engine guages on plotter

Thanks George. I did finally get all the functions I wanted displayed, though I probably couldn't do it again if my life depended on it. Wish I could say I figured it out, but to be honest there was probably a titch of trial and error and a measure of luck involved. I'm not sure I want to do anything but read it now. Again, thanks.
