Laughing.. The ICW here is similar but there are fairly long stretches behind the Mississippi Gulf Islands that are great for sailing..

I'm hoping that this winter will be warm like last year so I can stay up in Carolina's where is enough open water to do more sailing.

We are blessed down here on the northern gulf coast in the winters. My favorite is to go just offshore during a northern wind. Smooth, brisk sailing and then duck back into one of the bays to spend the night
